Popstar Donkeys

There was once this band of donkeys.

The first donkey played the bass.

The second donkey played the drums.

The third donkey played the electric guitar.

The fourth donkey played the keyboards.

The fifth donkey sang songs.

The sixth donkey is you who's reading this. Because the sixth donkey is all about a lack of intelligence.

Obviously, you... err... qualify, since you've actually wasted your time reading this.

Racists

I once saw a really comic strip a long time ago.

the first picture showed an ancient ape man with a brain roughly the size of a monkey today

the second picture showed a less ancient ape man with a slightly larger brain.

the third picture showed an ancient greek brain, I think, with a large human-like brain

the fourth picture showed a regular modern day human brain, with the size of what we all would imagine a human brain to be

the fifth picture showed a head of a racist, with a brain the size of a peanut.

-----------

i think it's a really bad ad.

It's not accurate, and it does not show us the real truth. It is misleading, and it does not understand racists at all.

These people see things from a perspective, and we need to respect that! Not call them peanut brains. We must try to understand their views, their take, and all that. Maybe they have a good reason to be racist.

Well, the ad is really bad. Because i think that it totally mis-informs us. From the way I understand the minds of racists and all that, i think its biased of that ad to call these people peanut brains.

Because I think, the ad could have at least tried to be a mile more accurate by saying that racists in fact, have brains the size of sesame seeds.

That's how inaccurate the ad is.

A peanut is roughly 10 times the size of a sesame seed.

That's how far off the ad was.

Malaysian Basketball All-Star 2005: Rawang

While the big boys of the NBA dunked it out and shot it out over the All-Star weekend in Denver, the Malaysian One on One All-Star game took place in Rawang. Granted, there's no Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, or Allen Iverson on the playing field, but Malaysia's very own Peter Kong and TMY!!!

Not that there weren't any fans...

Like any pre-game atmosphere, people grab bites (food) before matches. While they don't serve hot-dogs or burgers as regularly as western countries, some of the fans ate at the nearby hawker stall. On the left is one enthusiastic fan who refrained herself from drinking alcohol before the game in case she got drunk and turned into a menacingly dangerous hooligan. The girl on the right is like any other fan, discussing basketball tactics. the only difference is she's a girl, and she wasn't discussing basketball tactics... she was preaching it.

Anyway, the match was hosted in Michael Thai's house... Rawang.

Before the highlight competition, the All-Star shooting competition took place...

It was a matchup between 3 dudes who competed by shooting the basketball from various angle's and distances, something like the 3-point shootout that involved Quentin Richardson and Peja Stojakovic.

The shootaround here involved Michael Thai, Steven Thai and Peter Kong... and obviously from the picture you can tell that Peter doesn't look too happy from where he's standing because Michael just hit the winning shot.

While that was fun, the real game begins!!!

TMY and Peter started their one on one match and much to the delight of the fans, they both displayed a flurry of animated dunks, the 360 tomahawk jam, the self passing alley hoop jam, bla bla bla... After the first half of 5 minutes, the score was tied at 7 - 7.

The second half was slower, with both superstars playing it safe. There was only 35 seconds left and the score was 12 - 11 in TMY's favor, when Peter suddenly played as though he was Kobe Bryant and rose above the tall TMY (shoving him to the ground in the process... and no one called for a foul) for a facial!!!.

Peter Kong with his magnificent jam... to equalize the game...

Everyone was by then expecting an OT game from both ultra superstars when TMY made a powerful leap over Peter to cling on to the rim and dunked the ball with Peter on his knees praying that TMY would miss the dunk

Much to everyone's delight, TMY won the Rawang All-Star competition!!!

When They Come Grabbing

When I sleep, I think about a lot of nonsense.

Thoughts are dropped by Satan's minions, and I can't do anything about it.

I cannot stop myself from dreaming. I cannot stop the master of dreams from sneaking up unto my bed to pick my brains.

But I'm still in control of the real world. Hah. I wake up and say that I will not be held hostage by some fairy who does not have the guts to meet me in my face.

I'd probably shatter its face into a million pieces.

God has got my back, you dimbulb.

How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb

How can one dismantle an atomic bomb?

I've never seen an atomic bomb.

Okay, suppose there's a red wire and a blue wire, which wire do I cut? Ok, what if there's a black and brown and purple wire? Which one do I cut?

I mean, I'm so eager to dismantle an atomic bomb but if i cut up one wrong wire I'd be dismantling the atomic bomb the explosive way, which I think isn't what Bono had in mind when he prepared his user's guide on "How to dismantle an atomic bomb".

What is an atomic bomb? An atomic bomb is a bomb that deals a lot of damage. Not something you want to buy for your kids. Let's look into U2's CD to see if there are any clues for us dimbulbs on how to dismantle an atomic bomb,

Track 1 - Vertigo
"The jungle is in your head..."
I think that he's refering to the many wires being difficult is just a fear we must conquer with our minds.

"Hello, hello, I'm at a place called Vertigo... It's everything I wish I didn't know..."

Now he's saying that we should wish that we didn't know how to dismantle an atomic bomb...

"All of this, all of this can be yours"
All of WHAT?

Track 2 - Miracle Drug
"Freedom has a scent... Like the top of a new born baby's head"
So an atomic bomb, when dismantled, looks like a baby's head... Now we know what we're working towards... And I guess the atomic bomb has something to do with drugs as well. Maybe we need to be at a state of high-ness to dismantle an atomic bomb,

Track 3 - Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own

Title says is all. We need more than one person to dismantle an atomic bomb

Track 4 - Love and Peace Or Else
"Lay down... lay down... We're gonna break the monsters' back"
Cool, so we need to lie down while dismantling the bomb, apparently to dismantle the "back" first. That's assuming that the bomb is the monster and not some terrorist.

Track 5 - City of Blinding Lights
Bono is just reminding us that if the atomic bomb goes off, a city would turn into a city of blinding lights cos the explosion is gonna be so powerfully great it's gonna be blinding.

Track 6 - All Because of You
"I was born a child of grace... "
You need to be a child of grace before. What thatmeans i don't know.

"Some people get squashed crossing the tracks... some people got high rises on their backs... I'm not broke but you can see the cracks... You can make me perfect again..."
Ok, some technical terms here. it's a dangerous business, dismantling an atomic bomb... You can get squashed. Then there's something about cracks. Maybe that's where you pry the bomb open.

Track 7 - Man and a Woman
So you need a man and woman to dismantle an atomic bomb. This means that an atomic bomb is a sort of anti-sexism thing.

Track 8 - Crumbs from your table

"from the brightest star... comes the blackest hole..."
So i'm sure this means we need to check for glowing lights, and aim for the shadowed spots. Maybe there's a button we need to push.

"Cool down mama, cool off..."
Don't bring your mom along to dismantle an atomic bomb.

Track 9 - One step Closer
We're one step closer to dismantling an atomic bomb already.

Track 10 - Original of the Species
If the bomb goes off, the surviving humans will become a new breed of living beings.

Track 11 - Yahweh
"Yahweh... Still I'm waiting for the dawn"
When in doubt, ask God. But please don't ask when it's already too late.

"Take these hands... teach them what to carry..."
I told you not to ask when it's already too late.

------------

Now, do you know how to dismantle an atomic bomb? I've heard the CD tonnes of times. Fantastic album. Won three grammies.

Says nothing about dismantling an atomic bomb, though. Darn, what was this post about again?
