Timidity

"For God did not give me a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love & of self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7
 
The thing that strikes me the most about the above verse is that love is ranked alongside power and self-discipline, and that love is not associated with timidity at all.
 
Love can be that of courage, nobility and fierceness.
 
Not timidity.
