B dot M and B dot I

I was at work

and I was asked to make some phone calls in B.M.
I said, "I can't speak bm for nuts. Fikri can!"

Then my boss said, "Fikri was raised in the UK and he can speak betta English than you who was raised in Malaysia where you studied in BM all your primary and secondary school life!!!"

The conversation went more or less like that.

And hey, thats true.

Whats the problem with us people man. We spend about 11 years in government school learning everything in BM and the best we can come up with now is...

"Teh Tarik satu!"
"Maggi Goreng satu!"
"Salah nombor lah..."
"Nasi Goreng satu!"
"Berapa? Dua ringgit ke?"
"Apa?"
"Dia... dia... bodoh lah."
"Cantiknya."
"Tima Kasii ya..."

and that's about it.

My goodness. we've learned a total of 20 words (+-50 error margin) after 11 years of government schooling?

Wow.

Tak de guna lah, sekolah sini. Cari perempuan pun lebih senang dari cakap BM. I know I orang cina lah tapi I tak tau lah meaning dan grammar bahasa Malay. Saya bukan racist tau, saya don't like unproductivity sekolah sekolah di country ini saja. I mean, jika mau ajar bahasa negara, ajarlah properly. Tengok, sekarang saya pun tak dapat tulis blog post ini properly.

Salah siapa bahasa saya louya ni?

If salah saya, ok lah. Memang saya lazy dulu...

Tapi sekolah sini pun siao siao sikit lah... ajar saya bahasa ni so long dah pun saya cakap macam orang gila saja. Tak banyak orang understand apa I cakap tau. Bila saya talk BM mereka stare muka saya saja macam I dari planet lain.

Unless sekolah sini memang ada objective untuk ajar kita orang untuk sedia pergu ke outer space lah untuk jumpa alien alien yang cakap weird punya bahasa lah.

Tapi country ini pun tak de space technology, macam mana pergi outer space?

Aiyah, saya tak faham negara ini lah. Banyak complicated tau.

Lebih complicated dari love and masalah boy girl friend. At least masalah cinta boleh cut off dengan senang. Ditch dia tu orang saja lah... tapi education di sini... aiyah...

Tak de apa lagi nak crap about.
