What Do You Want To See

Which T.V. cartoon/comic/novel/short story/theatre performance would you want to see adapted into a feature length film(s)?

I know these days more and more of these stories are being adapted already. For instance, almost all the big name Marvel Comics has made it to the big screen in the last five or six years.

So try to think of stuff that hasn't made it to the silver screen yet. Of course, if you want, you can make a case by saying the recent adaptation stinks and you want to see it re-made. But try not to do that.

You can pick something that's on the way to being made. This would mean that it's a dream come true to see it soon. Like Pride and Prejudice (though it's been made countless times. stupid squid.)

Anyway, I've got about 3 or 4 on my list. Might add more.

Yes, I'm bored.

1) Thundercats - whoever doesn't know what's this can er... go back in time and watch this.

2) Books of Magic (This is currently being filmed. Can't wait.) - This is about a boy who doesn't know he has the potential to be the most powerful magician ever. Then the trenchcoat brigade comes by and shows him the world of magic. No, it's not like Harry Potter. It's a comic written by Neil Gaiman years before Harry Potter, and is generally darker and broodier.

3) Justice League - Basically the ultimate DC comics congregation of heroes. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawk, Shield, Aquaman, Green Arrow and MANY more of DC's good guys. It will most likely be a really stupid show if made. But it should be fun to see stupid things once in a while.

:P

ding.

1. Adaptation of Georges Bizet's opera, Carmen. Although it has been made in 1984, perhaps a postmodern adaptation (you know like the new-age production of Romeo & Juliet and Hamlet). Though it might be banned in M'sia...

2. Something on cows...(maybe Dreamworks could come up with something? Or maybe something along the lines of 'talking cows' like Babe??). The only cow flick i know of, is the Disney Cartoon, "Home on the Range." We need more cows!!

3. the Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical, "Starlight Express" will be released in 2006!! CAn't wait... Rumour has it that Glenn Close will be starring in it...

And....Can't wait for Memoirs of a Geisha!

Ok...my preferences above are in random order...

I just saw the trailer of the new P&P and found it disappointing. Hope the movie as whole won't be as cheesy as some of the lines i heard in the trailer. e.g when Mr. Darcy says to Lizzie "You have bewitched me body and soul". Wtf?! See, this is what happens when Hollywood messes with Jane Austen. Bah. Anyway, as for things i wanna see adapted on the big screen - all of the remaining austen novels (that haven't been yet been murdered by hollywood). And i am NOT a stupid squid.

Anne of green gables!! the stupid tv show they made in the late 80s or early 90s didn't follow the books properly! They added a million and one scenes that L.M. Montogomery never ever wrote about in her books. Bring on Anne's entire motley crew of children! Jem, Walter, Nan, Diana, Shirley, Rilla

It would be interesting to see Jem and the Holograms as a movie though it probably wouldn't shine as much to me as it did when I was younger.

Wicked, the play on the witches from the Wizard of Oz! Its all on broadway, I want a movie version!

Gabriel Garcia Marquez's one hundred years of solitude and Rana Dasgupta's Tokyo cancelled would be really really cool as a film versions!

Anonymous Bloomwood says: If self I reveal; Anonymous will I not be.

I wonder if the cow-refuser himself knows who's this.. unless he's been peeping at my bedroom and notice Kinsella's book on my bed.. oh, there.. i've kinda open my big mouth and hinted how anonymous I am. :p

ah but they are filming Christopher Paolini's Eragon book as my brother gleefully told me (he loves the series) and its gonna be a big production thing. No less with Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich in it.

Actually, now they're running out of ideas and turning Computer Games into movies too. Like Doom, Dungeons and Dragons and a few others.

You know what I would like to see made as a movie from a CPU game? (I.e. if no one does, I might wanna make it)

Heroes of Might and Magic.

That game owned
